On Monday, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa, the Qatari Minister of Sports and the head of the organizing committee of AFC Asian Cup 2023, announced that Qatar will host the second edition of the FIFA Arab Cup in cooperation with the Union of Arab Football Associations, and FIFA.
Bin Khalifa told reporters that Qatar will host the upcoming edition of the FIFA Arab Cup but it won't be organized this year, promising that it will be better than the previous one.
He added that the system of the tournament, and its full details will be announced later.
In 2021, Qatar hosted the first edition of the FIFA Arab Cup, and it witnessed the participation of 16 Arab national teams.
Algeria won the tournament after stunning Tunisia 2-0 in the final.
