The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced in an official statement Thursday that Qatar has released three Bahraini citizens, who were detained earlier during fishing trips, including Sami Al Haddad, bodybuilding champion.

Last Sunday, Manama called on Qatar to release Sami, who had been arrested along with another citizen.
Qatar also released a Bahraini sailor who was arrested last December, according to the Bahraini Interior Ministry statement.
Al Haddad was crowned Bahraini champion in bodybuilding for several years.
