Qatar has set a new all-time attendance record in the history of the Arab Cup following the conclusion of the group-stage matches of the Arab Cup 2025, currently being hosted in the country.
According to the Qatar News Agency, a record-breaking 812,318 spectators attended the first 24 matches of the tournament, a figure that surpasses the previous attendance record set in the 2021 edition, also held in Qatar, despite eight matches still remaining in the competition.
The earlier record of 571,605 fans, registered during the 10th edition of the Arab Cup, was surpassed very early in the tournament.
The milestone was broken during the 18th match, specifically after the final two fixtures in Group A, when the total attendance reached 598,290 supporters.
Group-by-Group Attendance Highlights
Group A recorded the highest attendance with 263,178 fans.
The opening match between Qatar and Palestine saw the biggest turnout in the group, drawing 61,475 spectators.
Group B also drew strong crowds, totaling 189,568 fans.
Its final-round clash between Morocco and Saudi Arabia set a new single-match attendance record for the entire tournament with 78,131 spectators, breaking the previous record of 63,439 set in the 2021 quarter-final between Qatar and the UAE.
Group C saw 198,638 attendees.
The match between Jordan and Egypt at Al Bayt Stadium, which ended in a 3–0 win for Jordan, was the most attended in the group with 55,658 spectators.
Group D registered 160,934 fans, with the Iraq vs. Sudan match topping the group’s attendance charts at 38,639 supporters.
Quarter-Finals Begin Thursday
The quarter-final stage of the Arab Cup kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, with two exciting matchups:
Morocco vs. Syria
Saudi Arabia vs. Palestine
The knockout rounds are expected to push attendance numbers even higher as the tournament moves toward its decisive stages.
