On Friday, Qatar managed to capture the first three points in their campaign to defend their AFC Asia Cup title after defeating Lebanon 3-0 in the opening game of the tournament.
The match's only goal was scored by Akram Afif in 45.
Al Moez Ali added the second goal for Qatar in the second half, 56, before Afif continued his energetic presence and scored the third for the Maroons in the final moments of the game.

The 2023 tournament is the first to witness 24 teams and it is hosted by Qatar.
Qatar and Lebanon are among the teams of Group A, along with China, and Tajikistan.
This participation is the 11th for the Qatari team in the AFC Asia Cup competitions, while this participation is the third for the Lebanese team.
