Early Sunday, the plane carrying the delegation of the Pyramids football team made an emergency landing in Angola after experiencing tough weather and flying conditions.
The Angolan authorities allowed the team to re-enter the country without new visas, and they are now staying in Luanda, the Angolan capital, after making an emergency return to Angola.
This incident occurred after the team's private jet had been in flight for about two hours before encountering severe turbulence, which caused a sudden drop in cabin pressure. As a result, some members of the delegation lost consciousness.
Pyramids were returning from Angola after their 1-0 victory over their hosts, Sagrada, in Angola as part of the CAF Champions League group stage.
This victory drove the team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in their history.
