Egypt has one of the biggest professional wrestling fanbases in the Middle East. It was the first Arab country that introduced Pro wrestling media and programs hosted by the late legend Mamdouh Farag. Therefore, the interest of Egyptians in the sport was also reflected in the first pro wrestling academy, PWO.

The academy was founded by captain  Walid Fathy who had a wide career with several wrestling and pro wrestling companies, in addition, he has a huge network of connections with famous and veteran wrestling stars.

Therefore, he brought one of the most popular names in the industry to carry the responsibility of training those young and rising talents who is Ricardo Rodriguez.

Moving to the future plans of PWO, the founder highlighted that there is an ambitious plan for launching the shows and the performances of the academy, including bringing famous names to participate in the shows from professional corporations, and indies.

One of the highly anticipated names that would participate in the upcoming shows of the company is AEW's TNT Champion Sammy Guevara.
