Putin, Guterres Discuss Latest Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed their support for the two-state solution for the Palestine-Israel crisis, Kremlin announced on Thursday.

In the same context, both figures urged the Palestinians and Israelis to end the ongoing fight to stop the rising casualties on both sides.

"In light of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, it was stated that the primary task is to stop violent actions on both sides and ensure the safety of the civilian population," the statement added.

Putin discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the recent developments of the new round of military escalation between the Israelis and Palestinians.

The Turkish presidency said in a statement on Wednesday that Erdogan talked on the phone to Putin and they examined the violations against the civilians in Jerusalem.
