Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a Christmas service by himself inside the Kremlin Cathedral, on Saturday.
Russian official news agency RIA said that it was the first time in years that Putin marked Christmas in Moscow.
In the same context, State television aired two live clips of Putin inside the Cathedral of the Annunciation where Orthodox priests conducted the midnight service that known as the Divine Liturgy.
The majority of Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on January 6-7.
Last year, Putin also attended Christmas by himself in his Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow.
In 2021, he participated in Divine Liturgy services in Novgorod.
