PSG's Goalkeeper Donnarumma, Partner Attacked, Robbed in Paris

Italy's first national football team, and Paris St-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was attacked and robbed at his house in Prais with his partner model Alessia Elefante.

The couple was targeted by several members who tied them up at their apartment in the eighth district in the center of the French capital, police told the media.

The couple said that they had to escape to a nearby hotel.

Once they arrived at the hotel, the hotel officials raised the alarm and the couple was taken to the hospital. 

Paris Prosecutor Office Spokesperson said: "An investigation has been opened on charges of armed robbery in an organized gang and aggravated violence following the events that took place overnight at Mr Donnarumma's place."

More media reports revealed that jewelry, watches, and other luxury belongings worth as much as €500,000 were stolen from the Paris Saint-Germain star's house.

Further reports said that Donnarumma was lightly injured while his partner was fine.

His agent said that the couple is "in shock at what happened but doing well under the terrible circumstances. Both are assisting the police with their inquiries".

The prosecutor's office asserted that France's special BRB police unit that dedicated to armed robbery and burglaries started investigating the incident.
