Paris Saint-Germain claimed the 2025 Intercontinental Cup after defeating Flamengo 2–1 on penalties following a 1–1 draw in regular and extra time.
The final was played on Wednesday at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
PSG took the lead in the 38th minute through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, before Flamengo equalized in the 69th minute with a Jorginho penalty.
With no further goals, the match was decided by a shootout, where the French champions prevailed.
The final brought together Flamengo, winners of the Copa Libertadores, and PSG, reigning UEFA Champions League champions, in a highly anticipated clash.
The victory adds another major trophy to PSG’s collection following their historic first Champions League title earlier in 2025.
