Paris Saint-Germain will collide with Tottenham Hotspur tonight in their first-ever UEFA Super Cup title.
The contest will take place at the “Friuli” Stadium, home of Italian side Udinese.
PSG will join the clash, officiated by Portuguese referee João Pinheiro, as reigning UEFA Champions League winners after claiming their first title in the competition’s history with a stunning 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final at Munich Arena.
Tottenham, meanwhile, ended a 17-year trophy drought by winning the UEFA Europa League for the third time in their history, defeating Manchester United 1-0 in the final held in Spain.
The decisive goal came in the 42nd minute when a cross from Pape Sarr led to a defensive error by Luke Shaw, sending the ball into his own net past goalkeeper André Onana. This was Spurs’ first European triumph since 1984.
