On Tuesday, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) decided to suspend the Argentine forward Lionel Messi for two weeks, French RMC Sport reported.
The decision was made by the club after Messi made an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, and his absence from the training.
Lionel Messi's visit to Saudi Arabia was reportedly not approved by coach Christophe Galtier.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner played the match of PSG's defeat 3-1, last Sunday.
The Argentine seemed like ignoring the decision and initiated his trip with the family.
L'Equipe claims that PSG Coach Galtier, and football advisor Luis Campos, rejected a trip to the Middle East, but Messi ignored them and got permission from the club's Qatari board.
His trip was part of his engagements as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia as they bid to host the 2030 World Cup.
The Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, responded to Messi's trip to KSA: "I am happy to welcome Saudi Tourism Ambassador Lionel Messi and his family on his second vacation in Saudi. We are happy to share our authentic Saudi welcome with you all #WelcomeMessi."
