Paris Saint-Germain excluded Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from their squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur in Udine, in a move widely seen as a clear signal that his time at the club is coming to an end.
The match at the Stadio Friuli, the traditional season opener between the Champions League winners and Europa League holders, comes amid growing tension between Donnarumma and the club.
Talks over a contract extension have collapsed, with his current deal running only until June 2026.
PSG have already secured his replacement, Lucas Chevalier, from Lille.
PSG Coach Luis Enrique delivered a firm message by omitting Donnarumma from the travelling party entirely, suggesting the 25-year-old may have already played his final match for the club—despite being instrumental in last season’s historic quadruple, which included the Champions League title.
The Premier League is tipped to be his next destination, with Manchester United and Chelsea showing interest.
Galatasaray and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation, though Inter and Juventus are unlikely to meet his salary demands.
