Protectors of Friendship 5 Military Training Continues

The activities of the joint Egyptian-Russian military training “Protectors of Friendship-5” continued with the participation of the Egyptian paratroopers and elements of the Russian air landing forces.

The activities of the joint Egyptian-Russian military training “Protectors of Friendship-5”  last until October 29.

The preliminary phase of the training included a number of theoretical and practical lectures on combat experiences and unifying concepts between the participating elements of both sides, as well as identifying the technical and tactical characteristics of weapons, equipment, and control mechanisms, and acquiring field skills and special tactics used by both sides in carrying out various tasks.

The training aims to achieve the maximum possible benefit for the participating elements in planning, management and control, and to measure the readiness of the forces to carry out joint operations, within the framework of supporting the pillars of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Russian armed forces.

The training “Protectors of Friendship-5” comes within the framework of the joint training plan between the Egyptian armed forces and many friendly countries, and in light of the development and strengthening of strategic cooperation relations between the Egyptian and Russian armed forces in many fields.
