On Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, has undergone successful surgery for a pre-existing heart condition at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital.
Had the operation on Sunday, the duke will stay at the hospital until he recovers.
“His Royal Highness will remain in hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days,” the palace revealed.
Camilla, therevealed that he was “slightly improving.”
Queen Elizabeth II’s husband was admitted first to King Edward VII’s Hospital in London last month where he had his longest hospital stay.
Next, the 100-year duke transported to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital to be observed by heart specialist doctors.
