Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed with his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday, the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, and the genocide, siege, and starvation to which the Palestinian people are being subjected, especially in the Gaza Strip.
They also discussed a number of issues related to the Palestinian cause and the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and ways to provide them with a decent life under the rule of Lebanese law until their return to their land and homeland, when the independent Palestinian state is established, with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to what was reported by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
President Abbas praised the stances of Lebanon, its president, government and people, in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and their just cause in all international forums.
He stressed that the Palestinian people in Lebanon are temporary guests until their return to their homeland, Palestine, and that the Palestinian refugee camps are under the sovereignty of the Lebanese state and army.
