President Sisi Inspects 'Mostaqbal Misr' Project to Reclaim Lands

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday "Mostaqbal Misr" project to reclaim 500,000 feddans along El Dabaa road in the country's northwest direction, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

The project is part of the State's strategy for maximizing the benefit from potential opportunities in the field of land reclamation and agricultural production.

It is meant to provide agricultural products with high quality and at affordable prices for citizens and reduce reliance on imports, as well as securing thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

The spokesman noted that the project is equipped with the latest agriculture and irrigation equipment to carry out different agricultural processes.

Following his inspection tour, the president met with some executives of specialized agricultural companies participating in the project to get acquainted with the current and future steps of the venture.

President Sisi called for strengthening coordination and cooperation among the bodies concerned to implement the project that aims to increase the country's agricultural production.

The president underlined the importance of abiding by the highest occupational safety and health standards while establishing the project.
