GIU President: AC Building Symbolizes Friendship between Egypt, Germany

Mateus Knaut, President of German International University (GIU), announced that the university building in the Administrative Capital (AC) bears the emblem of the Egyptian-German friendship.

Knaut added that the building has the word GIU in a mobile design that can be seen from all sides.

Knaut said - in a statement - that the conditions for admission to the university are the same ones used in parent universities in Germany, and are applied in the same situation to graduation certificates from them.

Administrative Capital Building

The GIU president stressed that the new university is a new bridge to strengthen relations between Germany and Egypt, and it is one of the most prominent results of the visit of the President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in October 2018 to Germany.

He went on to say that GIU reflects Germany's confidence in Egypt.

He added that GIU in the New Administrative Capital will contribute to deepening scientific, cultural, economic and technological relations between the two countries. The presence of this huge amount of German higher university education in Egypt, in addition to German schools, the Goethe Institute and the German Academic Exchange Service confirm the depth of bilateral relations which reaches new level that the German side is proud of as it attains that Distinguished position in Egypt.

Knaut pointed out that the German side is keen to be in the New Administrative Capital, as it is the future Egypt. He explained that the university building documents the existence of German education in Egypt and strengthens cultural relations and increases the depth of interdependence between the two countries.

The latest international teaching systems

There is a strong German technological presence that proves the power of German science and technology and the depth of relations between Egypt and Germany in the field of higher education, culture, basic education and scientific research that extends for more than 150 years. He noted that the university includes six colleges that will teach many different majors, namely:

*College of Informatics and Computer Science includes majors:

-Computer Science Applied (Artificial Intelligence)

-Database science

- -Software Engineering

- Information and data security media technology

*College of Engineering which includes majors:

- Mechatronic / electric cars

Energy-

-Robotics manufacturing and automation

- Control and mechanization

*College of Business Administration includes majors:

-Finance and Banking Sciences

-Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

International Management -

-Tourism and hospitality

- Project management and construction work

Port and airport management -

-Logistics

-Real estate management

Digital Marketing-

* College of Design includes majors:

Industrial design-

- Fashion design and jewelry

-College of Biotechnology

*College of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology

He explained that the Alliance of Founding Universities of International German University includes universities: Berlin for Applied Sciences, Ulm for Applied Sciences, Applied University for Economics and Law in Berlin, Munich for Applied Sciences, Muenster for Applied Sciences, Osnabrück for Applied Sciences, Hamburg for Applied Sciences, Bremen for Applied Sciences, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Cologne Applied Sciences German University in Cairo.
