President El-Sisi Reveals Reasons to Postpone Moving to New Capital

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi pointed out the reasons for delaying the move to the new administrative capital and a number of major projects.

President El-Sisi unveiled that the postponement due to the work of foreign companies and the decline in the provision of supplies linked to the pandemic of the Coronavirus that the world is exposed to.

President El-Sisi affirmed that the national companies are still working while preserving the precautionary measures with the cooperation of the health authorities, the army and the police.

President El-Sisi stressed that he doesn't support the disruption of the Egyptian life and the suspension of work altogether. He pointed out that this is dangerous, as there are millions of citizens working.

He went on to say that the state is keen to stop studying and protect students and keep their safety. He added that people should not worry as the state was prepared for any measures and we will never threaten our sons.

He president demanded reducing the number of citizens in the workplace, especially the elderly and women, urging the private sector to behave in the same direction with a pledge not to reduce the salaries of workers.

He emphasized that circulating rumors aims to sow frustration in the Egyptian people and reduce any achievement.

Egypt's head of state warned of the role of the evil forces in raising rumors, as happened during the period of digging the new Suez Canal. The rumors were repeated today that circulated about distributing support to irregular workers.

Egypt's head of state emphasized that the procedures are being prepared and support is studied, while avoiding crowding, in order to preserve the lives of citizens.

He said that the aim of today's meeting is to conduct an experiment to open new national projects to show the people the effort that is being made.

This came during the presidents speech today on the sidelines of inspecting precautionary measures to counter the spread of the new Corona virus.
