Popular Italian Fashion Designer Roberto Cavalli passed away at the age of 83 years old, the company announced on Friday.
Sergio Azzolari, Chief Executive of Roberto Cavalli Company, said in an Instagram post: "The Roberto Cavalli company shares condolences with Mr. Cavalli's family loss."
"It is with great sadness that today we say our final goodbyes to our founder Roberto Cavalli," the company added.
"Naturally talented and creative, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves. Roberto Cavalli's legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature and via his family who he cherished."
Cavalli passed away at his home in Florence, Italy.
He suffered from various health problems for some time and his health conditions were significantly worsened in the past few days, Italian news agency ANSA reported.
Cavalli was known for his exotic animal prints and for creating the sand-blasted look for jeans.
His company also introduced luxury clothing, handbags, shoes and perfume lines.
