Pope Francis Says Ready to Meet Putin in Moscow

Pope Francis has expressed his readiness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the capital, Moscow, in order to end the war in Ukraine, media reports said on Tuesday.

The reports added that the Pope is still waiting for a response from Putin .

Noteworthy, the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced that the Russian Air Force destroyed, during the past day, 36 Ukrainian military sites with high-precision long-range missiles.

"During the last day, high-precision missiles destroyed 36 military sites in Ukraine, including five command and control centers, 25 fortified points and areas for military equipment and soldiers gatherings," Konashenkov said in statements reported by Russia today.

The total number of targets destroyed since the start of the military operation in Ukraine amounted to 146 aircraft, 112 helicopters, 690 drones, 285 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,760 tanks and other armored vehicles, 316 rocket launchers, 1,246 pieces of field artillery and mortars, and 2,578 military vehicles.
