The National Police Museum at the Cairo Citadel is hosting an exhibition of historic Egyptian costumes, running from 24 April to June 2023.
Entitled "A Look at Costumes from the Mamluk Era to the Muhammad Ali Pasha Dynasty", it features a selection of paintings depicting costumes from 1250 to 1952 adorns the walls.
Museum director Abdel-Baset Mohamed revealed that the exhibition also sheds light on the state affairs during the reign of Muhammad Ali Pasha (1805-1849).
The exhibition displays costumes belonging to historical figures like Mohamed Ali Pasha as Wali of Egypt and his supreme council members, he noted.
It's worth mentioning that the National Police Museum is one of the museums in the Salah al-Din Citadel, located in its northern section.
