"Pokémon" Live-Action Series in Works at Netflix

Netflix is developing a live-action "Pokémon" series.

In a press statement, sources close to the project revealed that "Lucifer" co-showrunner and EP Joe Henderson will executive produce and write the series.

Sources added that the project would be a live-action series akin to the 2019 movie “Detective Pikachu” starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith.

It was the first-ever live-action movie to be made, which was a box office success, grossing over $430 million worldwide.
