Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Warraq Island urban community development project.
In a statement, Madbouli has expressed the cabinet's keenness on the regular follow-up of efforts to implement the vital project carried out by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
It was informed during the meeting that works on this vital project is being expedited to the fullest extent. The Prime Minister also affirmed that his government will pay appropriate compensation to the residents who will be evacuated from the island.
The compensation includes giving the residents better houses and apartments in new cities, equitable plots of land in the New October City or Hadaek October City, or farmlands in Sadat City.
