PM Inspects Cairo Stadium ahead of AFCON 2019

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, went on an inspection tour around the ongoing preparations and the developments of the Cairo Stadium which is scheduled the host of the African Cup of Nations 2019

The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Soubhi, toured a number of facilities within the stadium, starting with the VIP cabin, which was completed and the development of the roads surrounding the Cairo Stadium. A road connecting Al-Fangari Street and Yousef Abbas Street was established to facilitate traffic and ease access to the stadium.

During the tour, the Madbouli reviewed the creation of new facilities and the development of the stadium's facilities, which will be used for reception and hospitality, as well as player’s locker rooms, new dressing rooms which fit the requirements of the African Football Federation.

The Premier also inspected the stadium fields, which was further developed to international standards. He oversaw the installation of numbered seats and a range of screens, in addition to the maintenance of the main screen.

The Prime Minister's tour also included ensuring the efficiency of the stadium's electronic gates, the lighting system, the Wi-Fi network being developed inside the stadium and the media area, in addition to infrastructure works in general.
