Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouly stated that the holding of an Egyptian-European conference comes against the backdrop of international tensions experienced by the global community, as well as ongoing regional crises that have affected the stability of several countries in the region.

During a panel discussion on the second day of the Egyptian-European Investment Conference, Madbouly said that "these crises have posed a serious threat to the security and stability of many countries, including Egypt, apart from international challenges such as climate change and the impact of international tensions on the stability of production chains, in addition to the increasing role of modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence."

"Despite the serious challenge these issues represent for all countries, Egypt seeks to address these international issues and crises from the perspective of the promising opportunities they offer for comprehensive economic development and reform, enabling Egypt to secure its fair share of growth and inclusive development," PM continued.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen inaugurated the joint Egyptian-European Investment Conference in Cairo.
