PM: Express Electric Train to Run with Administrative Capital Opening

Prime Minister( PM)  Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said that he is happy to inspect the electric train that will connect the Administrative Capital with eastern Cairo and link new cities and communities.

He noted that this project is giant and will represent a qualitative leap for mass transportation in Egypt.

The Prime Minister continued to say that the trial operation will start during the next few months, explaining that the first phase took only two years and implementation is at the highest level of specifications and quality.

He revealed that the electric train will be ready to transport a large number of citizens amounting to 1,800 passengers per trip with the opening of the new Administrative Capital.

He thanked the staff of the Ministry of Transport and the Egyptian contracting companies.

He pointed out that the speed of the train will reach 90 km per hour, and each station has a tourist parking area that can accommodate 2,000 cars.

He added that the state is expanding within major cities in mass transportation and high-speed trains, saying that a real revolution in mass transportation takes place in Egypt.

He affirmed that young Egyptians will manage the high-speed train system.

The Prime Minister also inspected the workshops of the high-speed electric train, boarded a test model for the new electric train, and inspected a number of new stations, starting with the new Heliopolis station.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly followed up on the implementation of a number of transport projects in the Cairo Governorate.
