Egypt's Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouli said that Egypt is among the least affected countries by COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that the growth rate will be positive.

In his word during the inauguration of Al-Asmarat 3 housing project in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the PM added that the Egyptian economy is slightly affected by Corona, in comparison to other world countries.

"Since the outbreak began in February, the Egyptian government has paid great attention to the citizens' health and seeks to overcome the repercussions of coronavirus pandemic," Madbouli stressed.

He also noted that the government has taken a total of 334 measures, implemented by 53 different agencies across the republic to support citizens and sectors affected by Corona

It is worth mentioning that Egypt has so far registered 81,158 cases, including 3,769.

Driven by economic concerns, Egypt began on 27 June to ease the lockdown measures more than three months after they were imposed, lifting a nighttime curfew and allowing more businesses to reopen, including restaurants, coffee shops, and cinemas.
