PM, Bahraini Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Relations

Egypt’s Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouli met on Thursday Bahrain’s Ambassador to Cairo Hisham bin Muhammad al-Jowder.

At the outset of the meeting, the premier expressed Egypt’s appreciation towards the deep and brotherly ties between both countries, hoping to boost cooperation and double the volume of trade exchange between Cairo, and Manama in the coming phase.

Moreover, PM underlined the need to intensify mutual visits between the businessmen of the two countries, in order to promote the existing areas of cooperation and explore new investment opportunities.

On his part, the Bahraini ambassador conveyed greetings from the Bahraini PM to Madbouli, stressing Manama's keenness to boost relations with Egypt in various fields.

The Bahraini diplomat also stressed the necessity of working to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, expressing his happiness that Bahrain has become the largest supplier of aluminum products to Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that, the volume of trade exchange between Bahrain and Egypt reached $471 million during the year 2019, where Egypt ranked fifth as a non-oil trading partner with total exports of $365 million.
