Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouli is attending on Tuesday the meetings of Africa Climate Summit in Kenya, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
On the sidelines of his participation in the African Summit meetings, PM visited the Coptic Hospital in Kenya.
Moreover, Madbouli met with Ruwan Wijewarden, envoy of Sri Lankan President, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed proposals to enhance the growing investment activity of Sri Lankan companies in Egypt.
The Sri Lankan envoy pointed to the attractiveness of the Egyptian market for Sri Lankan textile companies, and their keenness to benefit from the Egyptian market for export abroad.
In this regard, PM welcomed the increase in Sri Lankan companies' investments in Egypt, pointing to the multiple incentives that have been recently approved to improve the investment climate in Egypt.
The meeting also discussed proposals for cooperation between Egypt and Sri Lanka in the field of climate action, and ways to strengthen international efforts in this regard, in light of the similarity of the challenges facing the two countries.
