On Friday, Al Ahly defeated Pyramids 1-0 to win the Egypt Super Cup for the 2021/2022 season.
The game was a tough one, and both teams wasted various opportunities for hitting each one's nets.
It was settled with a goalless draw before both teams go for extra time for 30 minutes.
During the first half of the extra time, Pyramids' Ahmed Samy blocked Al Ahly's Kahraba before the nets which granted Al Ahly plenty.
Tunisian icon Ali Maaloul successfully scored the penalty which was the only goal of the game.
After that, both teams moved to the rest of the extra time which witnessed dangerous opportunities for both teams, but none of them were scored until the end of the game.
After the match, Al Ahly's star Mahmoud Metwally collapsed to the ground which drove the medical teams to rush to the playground to save the defender.

Metwally's condition improved, shortly, and he regained his consciousness and stood on his feet once again.
