The Manila International Airport Authority in the Philippines announced on Sunday the cancellation of all domestic flights due to inclement weather.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that cloudy skies and scattered rain showers are expected throughout the country on Sunday.

This weather pattern is attributed to the northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms, as reported by The Star, a Philippine newspaper.

On December 27th of the previous year, the Manila International Airport Authority had already canceled some domestic flights due to adverse weather conditions.

The decision to cancel flights prioritizes passenger safety in the face of challenging weather conditions, ensuring that travelers and airline staff are not put at risk.
