Pep Guardiola has reached a major milestone in his managerial career, winning his 20th trophy with Manchester City after their narrow 1–0 victory over Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, concluding the 2025–2026 season.

The win secured Guardiola another piece of silverware since taking charge of Manchester City in 2016, further cementing his status as one of the most successful managers in modern football.

Across his City tenure, Guardiola has now won six Premier League titles, five League Cups, three FA Cups, three Community Shields, as well as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup, bringing his total trophy haul at the club to 20.

Manchester City players lifted the FA Cup trophy in front of a jubilant crowd, with Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush featuring in the squad after starting the final before being substituted at half-time.

The match saw City dominate possession in the first half, while Chelsea relied on counterattacks but struggled to create clear chances.

The decisive moment came in the 72nd minute when Antoine Semenyo struck the winning goal, finishing a clever assist from Erling Haaland with a backheel into the net, sealing the victory for the Premier League champions.

Semenyo also made history by becoming the first Ghanaian player to score in an FA Cup final.

With this triumph, Manchester City have now matched Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea on eight FA Cup titles, while Arsenal remain the competition’s most successful club with 14 trophies.
