Pentagon announced that the total US military aid to Ukraine during Joe Biden’s presidency exceeded $44.4 billion,  while since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, it has exceeded $43.7 billion.

The US Department of Defense said in a statement: “The United States has pledged to provide more than $44.4 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden administration, including more than $43.7 billion since February 24, 2022.”

On Thursday evening, Deputy Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said that the United States pledged to provide a new military aid package to Ukraine worth $600 million, which includes additional air defense equipment and artillery ammunition. Russia had previously sent a memorandum to NATO countries regarding arms supplies to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia, and stated that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, including not only the supply of weapons, but also the training of personnel on the territory of Britain, Germany and Italy.
