Pentagon confirmed that United States (US) and the international community have responded to all of Ukraine's needs since the beginning of the crisis.

"US initially focused on providing Ukraine with ammunition and artillery to deter Russia, which it has already succeeded in," Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said, in an exclusive statement to Sky News Arabia on Saturday.

Ealrier this month, the United States unveiled a new $1.2 billion security aid programme for Ukraine that will strengthen its air defenses and give it more artillery ammunition.

Ukraine is getting ready for a much-anticipated spring onslaught against Russian invaders, but the most recent help won't be deployed right away since it still has to be obtained from the defense sector or other allies.

As a result, US supplies won't be depleted, but help will take longer to reach Kiev than if it were to be sourced straight from American military stores.

The package highlights the US's ongoing commitment to Ukraine "by committing critical near-term capabilities, such as air defense systems and munitions, while also building the capacity of Ukraine's armed forces to defend its territory and deter Russian aggression over the long term," according to a statement from the Defence Department.

The fresh support was praised by the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who posted on Twitter that "we appreciate this sign of solidarity with Ukraine shown on a symbolic day for us — Europe Day and the Day of Victory over Nazism in WWII."

“Together we’re moving towards a new victory!” he added.

The package includes unidentified air defense systems and ammunition in addition to tools for integrating Western systems with Ukraine's currently in use, primarily Soviet-era, equipment.
