Pentagon: Committed to Reaching Diplomatic Solution to Ukraine Crisis

Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, stressed that the United States of America will remain committed to working on reaching a diplomatic solution with Russia to the Ukraine crisis.

Kirby said - in statements reported by the American (Al-Hurra) channel: "The administration of US President Joe Biden has made important proposals about US military activity in Europe with the aim of resolving differences."

Noteworthy, the Elysee announced that French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to exert all efforts to quickly reach a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis.

In a statement issued on Sunday after a phone call between Macron and Putin, the Elysee Palace said that the two presidents agreed on “the need to give priority to finding a diplomatic solution to the current crisis and to do everything possible to reach it.”

The Elysee also announced that French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian “will meet his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov” in the coming days, as part of efforts to settle the crisis.
