Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin said on Monday that about 20 countries had announced new security aid packages for Ukraine.

Austin said that in their second gathering, 44 countries met online to discuss the military support for Ukraine, stressing that the meeting was very successful.

He added that many countries would provide artillery ammunition, defense systems, tanks, and other armored vehicles that Ukraine needs.

The Pentagon chief thanked Denmark, that "it will provide a Harpoon launcher and missiles to help Ukraine defend its coast." He also thanked the Czech Republic for its substantial support, including the recent donation of attack helicopters, tanks and missile systems.

Austin added that several countries announced new donations for artillery systems and ammunition, including Italy, Greece, Norway, and Poland.

He declined to specify what arms the United States would provide to Ukraine after the US Congress approved an extra $40 billion in aid to Ukraine.

"Everyone here understands the stakes of this war," Austin said.
