Pele’s Mother Still Doesn’t Know “Anything” about King’s Death

Pele’s sister Maria Lucia do Nascimento revealed the 100-year-old mother of the Brazilian football legend doesn’t know of her son’s death.

Speaking to media, Lucia said their mother still “doesn’t know the situation”.

She noted that the centenarian is “in her own world” with little awareness about the news.

“We talk but she doesn’t know the situation. She’s in her own world,” said Pele’s sister.

The late Brazilian icon has been one of the most celebrated footballers of his time.

His multiple skills as a playmaker and striker brought him worldwide acknowledgment as one of the best players ever known, an accolade tempered, in Swedish minds at least, by the goal he scored for his national team after 10 minutes of their second-half of the World Cup Final 1954 against Sweden in Solna city.

It’s worth mentioning that Brazil has declared three days of national mourning for Pele after the so-called the”king” died at the age of 82. The cause of the World Cup Winner three times was colorectal cancer.
