Pasta is one of the delicious, crowd pleasure, and lightest dishes that work perfectly at any time of year, especially in the summer.

Food expert, Aliaa Hassan, has shared with “SEE kitchen” the recipe for her delicious pasta dish.

The recipe is rich in high nutrients and flavor, which is more than sufficient to keep the whole family interested.

“One of the best comfort foods that no one can resist is definitely the pasta. This summer pasta recipe is light and healthy. It is filled with zucchini, mushrooms, and slices of delicious smoked turkey; topped with a lot of cheese to complete the perfection,” Hassan said.

The dish can be served as a main dish or a side dish.

Ingredients:

400 grams of fusilli pasta.

200 grams of fresh white mushrooms.

200 grams of sliced zucchini.

100 grams of thinly sliced smoked turkey.

100 grams of grated parmesan cheese (or you can use your favorite kind of cheese).

1 tbsp of butter.

2 tbsp of olive oil.

1 big clove of minced garlic.

Fresh thyme.

Salt and black pepper.

Directions:

Boil water in a large pot to make sure that pasta doesn't stick together, and then add salt to the water to make it salty in order to enhance its flavor.

Cook the pasta for about 3 to 4 minutes until it's chewy or "Al dente"— do not drain all the pasta water, keep a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the water to prevent the pasta from getting dry.

Add the butter and olive oil together in a large nonstick pan, and then stir in the minced garlic, zucchini, mushrooms, thyme, salt, and black pepper – keep stirring until the zucchini are tender, but still have crunch.

Add the smoked turkey, and then pour the pasta into the pan – do not forget the pasta water – then add a good handful of grated parmesan cheese.

Serve your dish with more cheese on top and dig in. Enjoy and do not forget to share it with your beloved.
