Parliament Speaker: Egypt Cooperates with Mediterranean Partners to Formulate Regional Vision for Confronting Climate Change

Egypt's parliament speaker Dr. Hanafi Gebali delivered a speech before the Seventh Summit of the Speakers' of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union For the Mediterranean (PA-UFM) held in Brussels, on combating climate change in the Mediterranean region.

He stressed that the issue of climate change is an exceptional challenge with multiple dimensions and repercussions, noting that confronting it quickly has become a necessity in light of its negative and consequential effects.

Egypt's parliament speaker reviewed the efforts of the Egyptian state in confronting climate change, , adding that the Egyptian state has actively and intensely engaged in the international effort to confront this dangerous phenomenon.

At the regional level, Gebali indicated that Egypt is cooperating with its Mediterranean partners in order to form a cooperative and regional vision to confront climate change and its negative repercussions in the Mediterranean space.
