It is not only a matter of a new fierce wave of the pandemic but also the pandemic situation in India is supported by a new fatal mutated version of the virus.

In the last 5 days, the number of daily reported COVID-19 infections is breaking the global record day by day. On Monday, the state reported new 320,000 cases. The total number of COVID-19 infections is close to 18 million cases.

This uncontrollable surge in numbers left the country's hospitals at their full capacity, in addition, the liquid oxygen is running out in the whole country's medical institutions driving India to call for global aid from all countries.

The director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the situation as "Beyond Heartbreaking." He asserted: "WHO is doing everything we can, providing critical equipment and supplies."

The state converted every non-essential entity to a medical shelter for COVID-19 infections who found no place in the hospitals, even no place on the hospital's ground to lay on including train carriages, stadiums, and sports venues.

Early this week, India started receiving aid from different countries including UAE, UK, USA, France, WHO, and others. The aid carried various medical devices, COVID-19 treatments such as Remdesivir, liquid oxygens, oxygen containers, and ventilators.

On the other hand, various countries imposed a travel ban on all passengers coming from India amid new local strain concerns.
