Palestinian protesters in the West Bank took to the streets on Tuesday, protesting against the French President Emmanuel Macron for his Islamophobic comments. The protesters have burned France`s flag.

After Macron publicly criticized Islam in defense of the release of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) offensive cartoons, outrage continues to rise across the Muslim world.

Earlier in October, France held a national tribute to a teacher who, after showing insulting caricatures to his class, was recently decapitated by a Chechen teenager.

He described Islam as a religion "in turmoil" and declared war on "Islamist separatism," which he believed was taking over the estimated six million Muslim population of France.

The president said that he would not "renounce the cartoons."

The remarks offended not only the Muslim community in France but also the Islamic nations, leading in the Middle East and the larger Muslim world to demonstrations, boycott calls, and diplomatic condemnations.
