The Palestinian presidency condemned on Saturday the Israeli massacre that killed an entire family in al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, affirming that it is a crime that cannot be tolerated.

In a statement issued today, the Presidency held "the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the consequences of its ongoing war committed against Palestinians for 73 years, the latest of which was the killing an entire family, including eight children."

The Presidency slammed any statements which give Israel the right to defend itself as an incitement to continued killing, regarding those statements a green light to the onslaught on Gaza, the continuing forced expulsion, displacement of Palestinians and destruction of properties.

Moreover, it asserted that such statements encourage violence and extremism against the Palestinian citizens.

The Presidency also reaffirmed the need for the international community, led by the UN Security Council and the International Quartet, to intervene and provide protection to the Palestinian people who are being subjected to Israel’s brutal aggression.

It called upon the international community to take serious action to end the Israeli occupation and implement the international legitimacy resolutions, stressing that there will be no peace nor security for anyone without an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital

The only survivor of the Abu Hatb family massacre

A whole Palestinian family of seven members was mercilessly massacred Friday evening by Israeli warplanes that hit their home in Shati refugee camp in Gaza, WAFA news agency reported.

Israeli F16 fighter jets bombed with a heavy barrage of missiles the three-story home of Abu Hatab family killing all of its seven members.

A months-old baby is the only one who miraculously survived the barbarian Israeli attack. In addition, about 25 other Palestinian civilians in neighboring homes were also injured in the attack.
