Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mohammad Mustafa affirmed on Wednesday that the Gaza Strip is an essential part of the national project, stating that a Palestinian state cannot be established without it.

According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), Mustafa emphasized during a meeting with civil society institutions that the national project cannot be achieved without a strong Gaza. He stressed that this is a national commitment that surpasses any humanitarian obligation.

Mustafa reiterated that Gaza is a top priority for the government, which is committed to providing relief services, achieving national unity, and rebuilding the region. He mentioned that the government is also preparing programs to reintegrate employees in the Gaza Strip.

He acknowledged that the current phase is challenging but noted that these difficulties are accompanied by achievements, which will become evident in the future stages. He pointed out that the journey of struggle is long and includes both setbacks and successes, with the government's focus being on advancing achievements and removing obstacles.

"We do not want a faltering, weak state; we want an independent, sovereign state with a strong, productive society working together to achieve progress," Mustafa stated.

He also highlighted that financial support has significantly decreased in the past year, dropping to around $300 million from more than $1 billion in previous years.
