The Palestinian government announced this evening that it abolished an agreement signed with Israel to exchange Pfizer anti-Corona vaccines.

The Palestinian health authorizes have discovered that the vaccines did not conform to the required specifications.

Ibrahim Melhem, a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority (PA) said that Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh has instructed Health Minister May Al-Kaila to cancel the agreement and return the doses of vaccines to Israel.

Melhem added over a joint news conference with May Al Kaila held hours ago, that after the examining of the first batch of the vaccines delivered by Israel, the Palestinian experts found that these vaccines did not conform to the specifications mentioned in the agreements signed with Israel.

It is worth noting that this batch which is estimated at 90 thousand doses, was delivered by Israel to the Palestinians yesterday, Thursday.

The spokesman of the Palestinian government assured that Shtayyeh directed to refuse or contract on any vaccines that are about to expire.

He indicated that the Palestinian government waits for delivering the vaccines from the main company in batches according to the signed contract in direct purchase as price was paid in advance.

On its part, the Palestinian Foreign Minister affirmed that the news item regarding circulated by its Israeli counterpart regarding the vaccines, is deceiving and inaccurate.

It indicated that the Israeli FM tweeted that Tel Aviv delivered vaccines to the Palestinian Authority as   a donation.

But in realty Israel and the PA have signed a protocol under the auspice of the United Nations (UN) World Health Organization (WHO) to deliver one million doses of the anti-corona vaccines.

Melhem stressed that Israel never donate nor make any favor at all but it behaves according to its interests and so do the Palestinians.

He accused Israel of misleading the world by circulating baseless misinformation.
