Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Shahin, affirmed that her country stands clearly and steadfastly alongside Somalia, emphasizing the necessity of preserving its unity and internationally recognized territorial integrity.

These remarks were made during the Minister's participation in the 22nd Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held in Jeddah to discuss developments in the Federal Republic of Somalia, according to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) on Sunday.

Moreover, the Palestinian FM explained that Israel's recognition of the so-called "Somaliland" can only be treated as a "null and void" measure.

She stated that it constitutes a direct violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and represents a real threat to international peace, security, and stability.

Shahin further noted that the occupying power is systematically and deliberately working to undermine Arab and Islamic national security and create a new fait accompli in the Middle East.

This is being done, she added, by targeting the sovereignty of nations, undermining their stability, and attacking the region's history and human civilization, thereby threatening regional peace and the foundations of coexistence among the peoples of the region.
