On Saturday, Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif met with Iranian Foreign Minister (FM) Abbas Araghchi at the Prime Minister's Office in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement on the "X" platform (formerly Twitter) confirming that the meeting is ongoing.
The statement noted that Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir were also in attendance.
According to the statement, discussions focused primarily on "current regional circumstances," though further specific details regarding the substance of the meeting were not disclosed.
Previous press reports indicated that during his current visit, the Iranian Foreign Minister presented Iran's demands and its reservations regarding United States' positions to Pakistani officials.
