The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commenced a high-stakes four-day diplomatic tour visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey.

This mission serves as a strategic precursor to an anticipated second round of negotiations between the United States and Iran.

According to a statement carried by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the official visits are scheduled to take place between April 15 and April 18.

The Prime Minister’s engagements in Saudi Arabia and Qatar are structured within a bilateral framework, focusing on strengthening mutual ties.

A significant highlight of the Saudi leg includes a scheduled meeting with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Following these visits, Sharif will travel to Turkey to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

On the sidelines of this international gathering, he is set to hold high-level discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and several other global leaders.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that Pakistan’s active involvement in the forum underscores its dedication to constructive diplomacy and its role in fostering multilateral cooperation on pressing global issues.

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Prime Minister’s regional outreach follows the successful hosting of the inaugural round of direct talks between American and Iranian officials in Islamabad last Saturday.

This diplomatic flurry highlights Pakistan’s evolving position as a pivotal mediator seeking to stabilize regional security through direct engagement.
