Pakistan Rebukes Indian Claims, Calls for Focus on Regional Peace

Pakistan has issued a strong rejection of the Indian Army Chief’s recent remarks accusing Pakistan of being the epicenter of terrorism. These allegations, Pakistan asserts, are factually baseless and a deliberate attempt to perpetuate unfounded narratives. The statement labeled the remarks as politically motivated and part of India’s longstanding strategy of deflecting attention from its own domestic and regional issues.

In its response, Pakistan emphasized that the Indian Army Chief’s accusations are an exercise in futility and represent a classic case of duplicity. Pakistan pointed out that the claims aim to blame Pakistan for indigenous reactions to India’s state-sponsored oppression, particularly in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The remarks were described as an attempt to shift global focus away from India’s well-documented human rights abuses in IIOJK and the systemic repression of minorities within India. Pakistan also highlighted India’s transnational repression efforts, including targeted killings and the suppression of dissent abroad, which have drawn growing international condemnation.

Pakistan reminded the international community of the brutal realities in IIOJK, where the Indian Army has consistently used excessive force against unarmed civilians. These actions, coupled with ongoing human rights violations, have strengthened the resolve of the Kashmiri people in their fight for self-determination—a right enshrined in multiple UN Security Council resolutions.

Pakistan also condemned India’s increasing tolerance of hate speech that incites violence, particularly against Muslims. Events such as hate conclaves and the rise of communal rhetoric have been widely criticized by human rights organizations. Despite these facts, Pakistan noted, India continues to deflect accountability by pointing fingers at external actors.

Pakistan highlighted a critical omission in the Indian Army Chief’s narrative: the arrest of a serving Indian military officer who was apprehended while orchestrating acts of terror inside Pakistan. This case, Pakistan argued, exemplifies India’s involvement in destabilizing regional peace and undermines its credibility on allegations of terrorism.
