Nineteen civilians were killed and 14 others injured when a bus fell into a deep ravine in the Dhana Sar region of Shirani district in central Pakistan.

The broadcasting corporation added that the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

On his part, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement, expressed his "deep sadness and sorrow for the loss of precious lives in the bus accident," and directed "the concerned authorities to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured," according to Radio Pakistan.

On June 8, 22 people were killed and a child was injured when a bus fell from a hilltop on a highway in the southern Pakistani province of Balochistan.
